Recently I was subjected to an hour long discussion with a so called friend, whose prime objective was to lead me to the righteous path shown by the one and only Son of God. This friend of mine wanted me to convert to Christianity and find peace within myself. At the beginning let me clarify that I have nothing against Christianity. In fact nowadays I am allergic to any religion, including the one in which I was born into. Obviously I asked my friend as to why does he think I need saving? What crimes have I committed or more precisely what sins have I committed, for which I need to repent and have to be salvaged? He said that personally I may not have committed any sin, but I was born in sin. Every human being in this earth is born in sin. The very act of procreation is sinful in the eyes of God. Now I wonder, who made humans procreate the way we do? Who put in us the feelings of desire and lust that result in amorous or sexual acts? Would God have preferred that all of us practiced abstinence and never propagated our species? More importantly who and what defines sin? Did God define sin or did humans decide at one point that so and so act is sinful? Was the concept of sin created for our own salvation or was it created so that religious institutions could rule over us using fear psychosis? The way I see it, neither my parents nor I have committed any sin. They simply followed the laws of nature for me to be born. If anyone has committed any sin than it is God. He/she is responsible for creating nature and for humans to procreate the way we do. He/she is also responsible for declaring the said act as sin. So in a way he committed the sin of treachery and lies. Now lies the most important question, how shall God absolve himself/herself from this sin and attain salvation? PS: This Post of mine was denied. Reason given is Banned Topics: Hate/Weapons/Underage. I fail to understand how this post suffices any of the above mentioned categories. I do not hate religion or god and neither am I saying that anyone should. I am not advocating the sale or use of weapons. I haven't written anything that would deem unreadable for readers under 18. Of course this also means that IFF being a dating site has members under 18. According to IFF's own admission that we cannot have any material as blog post that is unsuitable for underage reading. I am merely asking questions about God and Religion. By denying my post, is IFF trying to say that I have no right to ask questions ? |

Romita  Nice to read you after a good long gap... The concept of sin created created by religious institutions not to rule over... but to have some discipline on society. Later it was used as fear psychosis for the weak minded persons. Me yet to accept God... what to say about religion! I believe whatever way gives us the peace and happiness within ourselves is the righteous path to salvation... only follow your heart... RAINBOW 07

Now the lawd Harry an his five assistants were busy drinking and fornicating, it being St. Paddy's day n all.. when.. to their chagrin.. the radar picked up an incoming missile.. Twas a real zinger.. some mere mortal demanding that the lawd hisself seek salvation ? An just about when they really getting started on their sinning yet. Now wot kinda wit, half or some other fraction, wants to get in the way of the lawd Himself getting all frisky n all. For twas that Devil spawn Shakira, shaky ere-aah and shaky there ooh-aah, that got de Lawd all worked up into a sweat. And it was going just swell, till some wise guy welched to the local rep., the Pope, and caused a big stir. While that feller adheres to the party line and thunders, most piously, about original sin ad nauseum, his cadres are busy keeping a close eye, and hands it seems, on their flock. Especially the younger lads. Ever wondered why the choir boys hit such high notes? The District Attorneys and the medical examiners are finding out too. How convenient the concept of sin, foisted on a unquestioning flock whose children are sodomized by the self-declared intermediaries to a divinity represented as more interested in retribution than redemption. Praise the lawd !.. and pass me the bottle! Hic..

Dear Romy, I totally agree with you. This friend of yours seems to have a wrong idea about sin, nature and few more terms and definitions I guess. However, thanks for posting this topic. As the sense to deny it..  ..no comment  YD

Romi We already discussed this I will say if we try to get the answers of all the things I think we will create more sins lol !! Just stay the way ur….. Right at the moment…… na kam na zayada (((ufff I talk to much, but do I )))

Dear friend, We must know one fact that Religion has its own language. It has to deal with all sorts of people. So as u said, Religion often use Fear psychosis. It may be unavoidable often. It is like teaching a kid in his lower elementary class. We can't teach like this in a post graduate session. Your friend may be like in the pre elementary..! majority is still there..! Procreation is never an immoral act. It is so natural as the nuclear fusion happening in the Sun..! But you can't have \bsexo?\b everywhere and always. That is another case. God is not a concept that can be discussed so silly. god is not merely 'he or she' , like we call our friend.....oh .......if you want to discuss more.... please do it....... ........you are always welcome..... .ok

I am also allergic to any relgion, and I agree with what you are saying about who created sin in the first place. My personal opinion about it is that the church, or organization, uses this fear psychosis to manipulate and control people. I think that ANY religion that promotes a philosopy or doctrine like this, or one similar to it, is wrong.
