During the height of the battle of Stalingrad in december 1942, where between 10,000 to 14,000 russians a day were being wounded and 4,000 to 6,000 germans a day were wounded, while around 3,600 russians were dying a day, and around 1,400 germans a day. We heard a story of an extrordinary doctor who had lost an arm escaping from the encirclement n susiquent siege of Leningrad. She had lost her entire family escaping (bomb blast, She also happened to be of the Jewish persuasion. Being of one arm hindered her in the surgery arena. so she worked triage as the person to decide the priority of who got help first. She got stopped by a political officer one day (political officers under the Stalinist regime had THE POWER TO KILL YOU WHERE U STOOD..WITHOUT HESITATION), She was asked why she had been allowing wounded german prisoners ahead of wounded russians. ~~ She answered succinctly "I will treat all men equaly, russian or german, they are human beings too.". ~~ The eastern front of WW2 was especially brutal in that it was "A no quarter war", neither side took many prisoners, if either side could help it (of the 186,000 german prisoners taken at the fall of the Stalingrad pocket, only 6,000 lived to return home from Russia after the war). So a Russian Jew who had lost an arm along with her entire family, saw her home completely destroyed can show mercy and compassion as well as forgiveness under these circomstances, under the threat of death at the hands of a political officer................ ~~~~~~~~~are these not the values n spiritual convictions that lift the human spirit closer to God, would not Mohammad, Jesus, Buddha, or any saint that lived, call her a Friend? Aiiii junglelove, we reckon them folks have learned a lesson, I mean after 2 world wars to the credit of their country, I think their stubborness was melted into humility by the heat of Gods wrath called devastation and suffering. Is this not the condition of a great many human beings..to suffer till we surrender to God finally?

Why are you writing all of these stories about the Jewish people? Are you Jewish, German or both? You previously called Hitler, specifically, Adolf, your "cousin". Hitler "has" Jewish roots with his genealogy make-up. I'm just curious... my understanding is that most of his relatives are long gone or don't know their relationship to him any longer.

stan... Sept 24th candygram posted a blog called"Jewish families offered $50,000 to move to Alabama"... I find it rather strange how "we" are to keep "our" blogs topics approved by the "the one's who want to inform us what we should and should not be blogging" I am thankful these blogs were made...people do not have to forget just to make other people feel comfortable. thanks stan ~~~~don't just count your blessings....share them~~~~

o candy, we are not Jewish, we are 1/2 white, and 1/2 native american, u know the folks that lived here before that lost eyetalian (colombus) came along n everybody (except the Indians...real Indians) and started calling us "Indians". Another minority group that has not done well under the European way of thinkin.

I wonder do the Hebrews commemorate only the jewish people that died in the Holocaust or do they commemorate the other 8 to 9 million non-jews that were killed in camps? By the way, we were simply unable to find or access any concrete evidence of Hitler being Jewish. Amour Stan

Amour Stan You must remember Hitler's main focus was to exterminate the Jewish population of over 6 million people located in Europe. His focus was to kill JEWS. The word Holocaust literally means holos "completely" and kaustos "burnt". Here are some statistics for those who died during the Holocaust: Jews 5-9 million Soviet POW's 2-3 million Ethnic Poles 1.8-2 million Roma 220,000-500,000 Disabled 200,000-250,000 Freemasons 80,000-200,000 Homosexuals 5,000-15,000 Jehovah's Witnesses 2,500-5,000 I guaranteed Hitler had Jewish blood in his genetic make-up. No one hates this much without being physically (or blood) connected in someway. His actions, I believe, were based on his upbringing.

I will no argue, there justis no proven records of him being jewish or not, He hated his childhood so much, one of the first things he did upon becoming chancellor of germany, was to turn over to german army for artillary practice the village he grew up in, his dad was known to beat him a great deal. I have looked extensively fer proven papers of legitamite claims to his jewish heretage, and found none. So we can only suppose its true. which is a leap from bein true....you could find no one more happy to thow it in the face of Hiller lovers, than the fact he is a closet jew. One of the points well made in histories of hitler, was this rumor started going around, beins that would be like having a bleeding cut in a shark tank...with the kinda people he had around im, is there was plenty of latitude fer him as leader of country to get rid of any evidence linking him to a jewish heritage. Pretty much, there is on average of 5 different sites we went to for info on how many died in camps, the jews murdered in camps was between 5.3 million & 5.7 million and close to 8 million non-jewish people. But jews were the most singled out fer extermination of any ethnic groups  . With Slavs being a close second.Is why I find it hilarious in a way that Maleena2 and MrRex are Hitler fans n both would be considered sub-human by there hero n marked fer extermination............

Hi Candy, Thank you. No more than anything is the propagating of hate, and of such a figure...just wont stand idely by n let it go unchallenged, doubt will make any headway...other than the planting of seeds. It was very interesting tho this dialogue. Especially finding some of the incredible responses of people who lived thru these incredible hardships, the Bright shining human spirit in the face of evil. Amour Stan
