KISSING COUSINS

I get so confused when Pramod and Harshit talk about their sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc…

Pramod told me that he once kissed his cousin’s sister when he was 9 years old. He thought this was incest. I had to ask him 100 questions before I realized he was talking about his female blood cousin. I told him this is not incest unless there is sexual activity, hence, the term “kissing cousins”. It’s a natural reaction as a child. He’d never heard of the term, and I was too tired to explain it.

Pramod has also referred to this same blood male cousin as “brother”. Oddly, he didn’t refer to his cousin’s sister as “sister”.

Apparently, anyone close to his family who is an older male is his “uncle”.

I’m an “auntie”, but I’m not blood related.

Now his conscience should be clear.

my apologies to all: im still confused.

how could the boys (i.e. the 'nephews' of 'aunt' candy ... lol) have mistaken the kissing to be 'incest' in the first place if they, at the very inception, had not known of the concept of incest at all.

based on what i read above, they could not even have thought of the concept of incest as the thoughts of a sexual relationship had never occurred to them.

be that as it may, the crucial point is that they may still have thought to themselves that the act of kissing in itself was wrong to be done to their cousins. if this is the case, then the proper response would be to ascertain their motive or intention behind the kissing.

If the it was done because of a desire for sexual pleasure, then kissing is still questionable, even though no incest was committed.

Why are you always confused?

Apparently, this has weighed heavily on his mind for years. Regardless, if he knew about incest at the time... he knows now.

Something triggered in his head when the husband of this female cousin came to Chicago last weekend. Pramod was freaking out thinking this female cousin told on him. I know, and you know, he is acting silly. Pramod doesn't know this! He knows now after I explained some facts of life to him.

I seriously think young indian people live under a rock sometime. If it's not a computer program, then one has no idea what is going on in the world. Where is the so called infamous kama sutra when you need it?

i do not think you have understood my earlier comments accurately or correctly. i shall try again in a different style, and which, hopefully, you would find easier to comprehend.

i get the feeling that nobody has understood the root of pramod's troubling point. it is certainly not the issue of whether he is guilty of incest that he is troubled with. as such, whether he is aware of the cocept of incest is immaterial in the case of pramod. and, unfortunately, you had jumped the gun, and concluded to the effect that one has to be concerned about 'incest' alone, and nothing else.

my concern is that he has had a guilty complex as a result of kissing his femail cousin. thus, it is important, or at least, interesting, to acertain from him, what exactly in the act of kissing his female cousin which had made him feel guilty, and subsequently, made him feel worried when her husband visited chicago.

my guess is that pramod's concern is not based on the 'legal' guilt of having committed incest, (which in any case, as you have confirmed, had not happened). instead, i feel that he done more than just having kissed his female cousin, albeit, only short of an intercourse, or he had had kissed her with ravenous and lustful passion.

in my opinion, if it is any one of the alternatives that i have mentioned above, than pramod may have a valid reason to be worried about, from a commonsensical point of view, even if no incest had been committed.

i hope you are able to grapple with my contention now. in any case, i would like to rest my case here.

You may be right, breeze61. I asked Pramod again. I had been mistaken in the earlier post, he was in 9th grade making him around 13 years old.

Hi, Last night I held my mom-in-law and kissed her on her lips. She was taken back for a while but suddenly started rubbing her hands between my legs and i took the chance to bury my nose between two mountains

I have had a long affair with one of my cousins. It had just stopped short of sex. Foreplay was prolific and I enjoyed it. I cherish those memories till date. No guilt just bliss.

Wow, I've never had these feelings toward a blood relative. I will admit that I've been "approached" by male relatives, but I've never reciprocated their feelings toward me.

I've watched programs about such behavior, and it usually is amongst relatives that rarely see each other. I wonder is "distance" plays a part in the emotions.

The distance was close. The feelings just developed. But it is one of the nicest experiences in my life.

Flattery will get you everywhere.

I'm trying to get a new post on IFF. I'm letting those in India decide my vote for President of the USA. The post doesn't seem to ACTIVATE.

*snip*

I am voting on NOVEMBER 4, 2008, for the President of the United States of America.

Would you like to put your "two cents" in to help me decide?

I will give you the final decision for my vote, if you can tell me why I should vote one way or another. You have to explain to me why I should be voting the way you suggest. You can't simply click on the below poll options.

I have voted only once in my life. That was for my brother when he contested for the local body. He is a communist. (Being a communist is not a bad thing in our place. They are not the type who go about thinking what to blow up next lol. These are not radicals and they participate in the democracy. Our state Kerala is ruled by a Communist led front right now) Point is, I don't think any party is going to do you any good. Voting is a waste of time, unless you can get something out of your party or representative. We need to look after ourselves. Why waste your time?

Flattery I think is when you say things you don't believe in with an objective to gain something. I would rather prefer the word pamper.
