i agree that there is a racial angle. however, i would like to clarify to you, why I wrote my comment. in india, almost all of us are browns. the lighter ones we call whites! (relatively) and the darker ones are brown or black. i guess that indians have a mix of many bloods, caucasian, dravidian, mongoloid etc. also there is a universal liking for tan. and i saw many profiles of caucasians stating that they like indians! in the backgroud of all these, i made a distinction between whites and caucasians mentally and said what i said. i did not mean to hurt anyone from the racial angle. it was meant as a joke which seems to have gone bad! i guess that i did hurt actuall and i apologise. thanks for the post.

i am not exactly sure what she meant by white person. had she said whites or white men it would invariably mean caucasians and the question itself would be ambiguous. since she said white persons, i did a bit of reflection and concluded that she must have meant to put all fair persons excluding caucasians under white persons. the preference for indians by caucasians could be meant as a joke and not racial. however, when we talk about skin colours, there is a racial consideration and i owe up a mistake for commenting. thanks.
