Hey guys, I have seen many blogs for the last few weeks. Many jokes, stories and variety of topics. Somehow I missed that occasion. As poetry lover I knew Tagores poems, but here is a special occasion to post this blog, in adoration to Tagores works and all my best wishes to India. A friend told me that the Indian national anthem "Jana Gana Mana" written and composed by nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore has been chosen as the best national anthem in the world by Unesco. Congratulations!!!  This I found on Wikipedia, you might be interested to know: Jana Gana Mana (Bengali: জন গণ মন Jôno Gôno Mono) is the national anthem of India. Written in highly Sanskritized Bengali, it is the first of five stanzas of a Brahmo hymn composed and scored by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. It was first sung at the Calcutta Session of the Indian National Congress,on 27 December 1911. Jana Gana Mana was officially adopted by the Constituent Assembly as the Indian national anthem on January 24, 1950. The music for the "current version" is said to be derived from a composition for the song by Ram Singh Thakur, although some dispute this. Jana Gana Mana জন গণ মন অধিনায়ক জয় হে. ভারত ভাগ্য বিধাতা পঞ্জাব সিন্ধু গুজরাট মরাঠা দ্রাবিড় উৎকল বঙ্গ বিন্ধ্য হিমাচল যমুনা গঙ্গা উচ্ছল জলধি তরঙ্গ তব শুভ নামে জাগে তব শুভ আশিস মাগে গাহে তব জয়গাথা জন গণ মঙ্গল দায়ক জয় হে ভারত ভাগ্য বিধাতা জয় হে, জয় হে, জয় হে, জয় জয় জয়, জয় হে॥ ========================= O! don't want to be bitchy.....dream.... but do you know who ....."bharat bhagya vidhata" ..was in the original context before it became the national anthem....???? do a little check on the net yo'ull be surprised if not shocked... an if you still don't ...lil ol' cutes would be happy to oblige.... cutes... PS: dont delete the post as some of the honored bloggers of iff are wont to do when you dont bow an scrape to them....  cutessyy....for sure.....

Thanks YD, for reproducing, for those who missed the newspapers . We need reminders,the forgetful souls we are. Good job done, keep it up. You desreve more admiration for this,being a non Indian. But,I remember,half the Indians know you already ..smile..4ever..

Dear friend,I am very happy you have written about the Indian national anthem.I would like atleast 1 or 2 Blogs with something patiotic in nature.I guess it good to have a patriotic fervour sometimes.I hope you write 1 or 2 more blogs of a similar nature.Keep up the good work.love vinod 2725
