By darkness consumed and yet made whole; The fire extinguished in dousing day's light. He yearns as bees to buds whilst the sun sleeps; She desires not but what the stillness holds; He promises only that none will heap Upon their passion a will to withold. They ride the tide of moon's ebb and then flow; They pray to the heavens for just one more... That's too much to ask, for the hour doth grow Inev'table! that parting, crashing door.
