Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me,
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm.

If you think 'she' refers to Dame Luck and the 'shadow' to Lame Duck, it is not intentional but sheer coincidence.

I love the Beatles.

Beautiful song...

The Beatles. Yes, what Sachin Tendulkar is to test cricket, the Beatles are to modern pop and rock music. Modern-day musical maestros, the true originals and the grand-daddies of pop music. No other band comes close. 'In My Life' is one of my favourites.

mrex, being a Beatles fan you might like Paul Weller, under-rated Brit-pop hero, heavily influenced by John Lennon. Has been around for years now, and in two bands: The Jam, then later, The Style Council. Some of his best tracks include:
'You're the best thing', 'You do something to me' 'Wildwood'
Check them out...

Hi DEL, just now listening to wild wood. It is Good. Will check out the others too I like the sound of guitars.

There are a lot of Beatles songs I love more than 'Yesterday'.

I was reading news about the 3rd US Presidential debate. Suddenly thought about this song

Actually wanted to put a photo too

Hiii

I posted this song for humor lol.. I should have posted a politician's photo too who had a chance in the beginning but who could be singing this song right now

I checked up Lady Madonna lyrics The song is familiar to me. I like many of their songs like, 'Here Comes the Sun', 'Get Back', 'Obla Di Obla da', 'Let It Be', 'Hey Jude' and many more....

All you people are talking about the song and I put that song for another purpose lol I put it during the US presidential election campaign. I imagined McCain singing it because he was tied to Bush and his policies in the campaign (The shadow hanging over him)
