Pretty Freckles Apr 22, 2007 9:50 am Mood: loved, 1446 Views An elderly women and her little grandson, whose face was sprinkled with bright freckles, spent the day at the zoo. Lots of children were waiting in line to get their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating them with butterflies. "You've got too many freckles, there's no place to paint!" a girl in line said to the little boy. Embarrassed the little boy dropped his head. His grandmother knelt down next to him "I love your freckles. When I was a little girl I always wanted freckles" she said while tracing her finger across the child's cheek. "Freckles are beautiful!" The boy looked up, "Really?" "Of course" said the grandmother. "Why, just name one thing that is prettier than freckles." Life Without Fear Apr 22, 2007 7:42 am Mood: content, 1277 Views Today's Power Word is a powerful healer and often a difficult task. Through surrendering what is painful we allow ourselves to work towards the most important goal - life without fear and restriction. Often we hold on to disappointments, to situations and people that have hurt us, as a means of self-protection. Ultimately however, attachments like this repress us. Our Spirit can be suffocated by the thick walls we build. It is a real energy zapper to live a life of regrets and with fear of being hurt/failure etc. The weight of the walls we build is costly and affects our health on all levels. Surrender what is obsolete and painful in your life. As one door closes, many more will open if you have faith in yourself and your Divine life plan. Know that this process is not a quick one, it has to be backed up with loving action and positive thoughts. You are restructuring your thought patterns and releasing emotions that will likely seem painful at first. The end result is worth the effort however. Today's Exercise: Choose a situation that has been weighing on you that you are ready to surrender. Pull the situation up and look at it. How has this effected you? What restrictions have you placed on yourself by carrying this? Why do you continue to be attached to it? Once you have been honest, reevaluate the situation again and turn it around. What positive lessons can your carry with you from the experience? Did it make you stronger? More empathetic? Focus on the positives you can take away with you, and envision yourself holding onto these and let the rest go with acceptance, gratitude and compassion. Reaffirm this through releasing the emotions surrounding it, cry, yell,write, or whatever you need to do to let it go, and then back it up with positive loving thoughts and action. When you are ready you will feel the release all the way through your being. You will feel lighter, stronger, and more confident. I liken it to having surgery; it is uncomfortable, sometimes even painful, but results in better health and increased longevity. Spiritual and emotional "surgeries" are the same as all of our bodies effect each other. This action of release helps us to enjoy the full richness of our present life experience. Loveliness all around us gets taken for granted. We rarely look up from our daily tasks to appreciate the treasures of our environment. Take a moment from your hectic schedule, and smell the flowers. Watch the graceful soaring of a kite or evenmarvel at the stars. You'll be surprised by the freedom you feel and the peace that it brings to your soul. Go ahead and let yourself enjoy the beauty, the wonder, the miracle of the life you're living. There's nothing wrong with feeling the very best you can possibly feel. For the better you feel about yourself, the more of a positive difference you can make for the world around you. The better you feel about yourself, the more real value you can create and contribute. There is every reason to make this day a truly inspired one. The most loving and responsible thing you can do is to live up to your incredible potential. You have many valuable gifts to offer by being the best you can possibly be. And that begins with feeling positive and inspired about who you are and what you're doing. Sure, there are plenty of very real problems in the world. But you don't have to give them any more power than they already have. Instead, use this day to spread goodness, hope, joy and love. Let yourself feel great and enthusiastically act on that positive, inspired feeling. If you told your doctor only that you didn't feel well, and provided no more information than that, it wouldn't be nearly enough. Your doctor would need to ask you to be much more specific before even beginning to diagnose the problem. If you went to the airline ticket counter and asked to go someplace nice, the agent would not be able to sell you a ticket. You would first need to provide a specific destination. In the same way, if you only have a vague idea of what you intend to achieve, not very much is going to happen. Yet once you become clear and specific, that's when the magic begins. When you clearly define what you intend to do, where you intend to go, or who you intend to become, it is amazing how reality begins to conform to your intentions. Give your dreams and desires a name, a place, a time, a color, a size and a feel, and you begin to give them life. There is rich abundance stretching out in every direction. Clarity serves to gather and focus that abundance. Be clear and specific about what you desire to have, or to do, or to become. It takes clarity to make it real. 8 Comments

A Reason For Every Season Mar 18, 2007 8:24 am Mood: content, 1421 Views PEOPLE COME INTO YOUR LIFE FOR A REASON . . People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season. LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
