When the female knows the male is interested...
she leads him on a chase through the skies...
swooping...diving...and soaring high above the hills.

When the chase is nearly over...
she flies as high as she can and flips onto her back...
free-falling to the ground.

It is the male's job to place his body over hers and grasp her talons...
flapping his wings with all his might to keep her from certain death.

Moments before they hit the ground...
the female pulls out of the dive and circles the male...

Because he had been willing to stay even unto death...
he will have proven himself as a mate.

The eagles are joined for life from that point on...
yet we "intellectual" humans often miss the mark.

The bald eagle is one of God's most beautiful anima l s...
They soar high into the sky with such ease and grace...
and are used as a symbol for wisdom.

God said in Isaiah 40:31

"But those who hope in the Lord...
will renew their strength...
they will run and not grow weary...
they will walk and not be faint...
That's pretty amazing...
God promises us that we will soar on wings like eagle's....
We'll not only rise above..we will soar!

~~~~MIRACLE ABORTION .... TRUE STORY( real audio interview)~~~~ Nov 1, 2008 10:03 am
699 Views
Gianna Jessen came into the world as a surprise. Her 17-year-old mother knew she was pregnant. She also knew she didn't want to be. She underwent an abortion procedure, having toxic saline solution injected into the womb during the third trimester.
Jessen, then in the womb for 7½ months, spent 18 hours in the solution. "It burns the baby inside and out," she said. "(The mother) is to deliver a dead baby within 24 hours." But when a 2-pound Jessen emerged, she was alive.
"I did not die that day," Jessen said. "I was delivered alive in a Los Angeles County abortion clinic in a room full of teenage girls who had already had the saline injections and were feeling their children die inside of them."
Jessen will tell her story Friday at a Sanctity of Life Rally in Modesto sponsored by the "11th Hour" TV program.
Raised in California, Jessen lives in Nashville, Tenn. She has traveled the world since she was 14, telling of her experience.
Jessen spent her first three months in a hospital incubator. Doctors at the hospital did not expect her to live, she said. But she did. She was then put in emergency foster care, before being placed at 17 months with a foster mother who would become her adoptive grandmother. Afflicted with cerebral palsy resulting from lack of oxygen in the womb, Jessen was "32 pounds of dead weight," she said. She wasn't expected to hold up her head, sit up, crawl or walk.
Her foster mother worked with Jessen, who at age 3½ began to walk with a walker and leg braces. Today, she walks with a slight limp in her left leg.
Jessen has done indoor rock climbing and is training for the Music City marathon in Nashville in a few months. She plans to take swing or tango dance lessons after that. Jessen also writes and performs songs, ranging from love ballads to social commentary.
"Never say never," she said in a recent phone interview. "A person and God always have the opportunity to progress. No matter what point you are at, you can always do something, even if it is just the tiniest thing."
On Christmas when she was 12, Jessen learned she had survived an abortion attempt. Before, when she had asked why she had cerebral palsy, her adoptive mother — the daughter of her foster mother — told her hers was a traumatic, premature birth. But that day when she asked, her mother decided Jessen was ready to hear the truth. She told her that her biological mother was young and without hope.
"I was aborted, right?" Jessen asked. Her adoptive mother confirmed it. Jessen was calm.
"It must have been the Lord, because I didn't freak out," Jessen remembered. "I totally believe that the Lord Jesus spared my life and I would not be walking today if it were not for the grace of God and the power of Christ. I know that when you need God to walk every day, you know that God is real."
Jessen said she never dwelled on feelings of rejection, and someday wants to have or adopt children herself.
Louise Shatswell, producer of "The 11th Hour," said she hopes those who hear Jessen will be touched by her story and "that their eyes will be opened to the reality of life at that stage of life."
The rally will include a question-and-answer session with Jessen, as well as counselors and literature from the Modesto Pregnancy Center.
It's impossible to know exactly how many babies survive abortion procedures, but it is rare, said Jessen, who met 11 others — ranging in age from young children to 65 years old — at a conference about 10 years ago.
Shatswell thinks Jessen's appearance brings another view to a society that endorses the idea that "if you don't want it, get rid of it," she said. "I don't believe the majority of people who get abortions are really informed about what they are doing.
"She is a living example of an unborn child being a child and not being a thing, a glob, an unidentified piece of nothing," Shatswell said. "It's a real-life living baby … and the sanctity of life that the Bible gives doesn't sanction killing a child, whether in the womb or outside the womb."
If a woman told her she was considering an abortion, Jessen said she would listen to her, then lead her to a pregnancy crisis center for tests and counseling.
"I would say that choosing to have an abortion is something she would never forget," said Jessen, who advocates adoption.
"Can't we just give a little and say, 'I may not be the best mother for this child, but I love this child enough to sacrifice for it'?" she asked. "Isn't that the ultimate love?"
Jessen is conscious that examples speak louder than words. She often talks to young people about the value of chastity, modesty and honor. She wants to remind people that all of their choices have consequences.
"My biological parents made some really poor choices," she said. "I forgive them for what they did (but) I live every day with the result of the 'choice' that my biological mother made 27 years ago. So it's ridiculous to think our choices on a moment-by-moment basis only affect us. They always affect someone else, for good or ill."
Jessen is sometimes unprepared for the grief that pours out from others when they hear her story. "Women who have had abortions have come up to me crying, saying, 'I wish I had never done this. I had no idea the pain I would live with for the rest of my life,'" she said.
Men, too, have talked to her of feeling powerless or regretful about supporting an abortion. "At the end of the day, I do a lot of listening," Jessen said.
It's not all listening. She met President Bush in 2002 and has appeared before Congress, including speaking against partial-birth abortion in 1999 and in support of the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act in 2000.
She said she doesn't often think about her mother's abortion. "I just spend my life trying to smile and overcome," she said. "Sometimes, it does hit me, 'Oh, my gosh, I was aborted; that's huge.' There are days I think about it and I think, 'This is amazing.' But my whole life has been, so far, kind of an adventure. I really look at life that way."
"and i know that im in a government building....and a beautiful one it is...and i love our country as well as your own...
but i know the age that we live in..
interesting words she spoke in her audio...
"it is not at all politically correct...
to say the name of Jesus Christ in a places like this.
to bring him into these sort of meetings...
because his name can make people terribly uncomfortable...
but i did not survive to make people comfortable...
i survived so i could "stir" things up a bit.
and i have a great time doing it.
"and so i was deliverd alive after 18 hours..
i should be blind...i should be burned...i should be dead..
yet im not." GIANNA JESSEN
~~~~HALLOWEEN LOVE CEREMONIES~~~~ Oct 31, 2008 6:59 am

NOTE:just for fun only...

October 31st is Halloween.
This is the day before All Saints Day on the Christian calendar, and the last night of the old year according to the ancient Celts.
It is said that between the hours of dusk until midnight on the eve of October 31st, witches, warlocks and evil spirits are able to run amok ...

But it's not all bad! It is also believed that good spirits are able to communicate with the living at this time as well. And according to ancient folklore and legend, it is possible to cast love spells on Halloween. Here are a few great examples:

Halloween spells to cast on your own.

* Dreaming the answers

There are a few methods of doing this.

On Halloween night take a letter from your partner which has a particularly strong statement of love in it. Fold the letter nine times, pin it together, and put it under your pillow. The dreams which you have will tell you the truth about your partner. If you dream of silver, gems, glass, castles or clear water, then your lover is true and genuine. However, if you dream of linen, flowers, wood or uniforms it unfortunately means that your chosen man is false and deceitful.
There is an Old Country superstition that on Halloween, a single lady should eat a salty sardine before bedtime. In theory, the future husband should appear in the dream, with a glass of water to quench her thirst. This sounds simple enough, although it?s not to be recommended if you?re not a seafood fan!

* To see your future husband

First, find a room which you are comfortable in; preferably in your house. Wait until darkness has fallen on the eve of Halloween, and sit in the room with only a candle to illuminate your surroundings. Position the candle in front of a mirror and then either eat an apple or comb your hair. If you concentrate on your reflection it is said that the image of your future husband will appear in the glass, standing behind you.
Note: Do NOT turn around to see him in the flesh. Otherwise, he will disappear along with your chance to marry him.

Halloween spells to cast with your friends.

* Find out who'll be the first to marry

Take four cups, and put them on a circular table. Place a ring in one cup, a coin in another, a sprig of heather or orange blossom in the third, and leave the forth empty. Everyone who wishes to be involved should be blindfolded. Then slowly, (and carefully), walk three times around the table. At the end of the third rotation, the participant must reach down and touch one cup. The contents of the cup will tell you about that person?s future marriage. The first person to touch the cup with orange blossom or heather will be the first to wed. The person who touches the cup with the coin will never know want. The cup with the ring denotes a lifetime of devoted love, whilst the empty cup means that the likelihood of a single life is probable.

* Bobbing for the answers

Gather a group of female friends together, and get a big tub or container. Fill it full of water, and then bob for apples, as you would normally. But before you put the apples in the water, insert a fortune into each of them. The best way to do this is to put the paper in small plastic bags or shrink-wrap, to avoid blurring the writing. Make up your own fortunes, but try to keep them as realistic as possible. Ideal fortunes to put under the skin of the apple include statements like ?Your sweetheart is deceiving you?, and ?Your husband will be masterful and powerful?. Get planning ahead of time for this one, because the more people involved, the better!

Halloween spells to cast with your lover.

* To find whether your love will last.

Wait until dusk on Halloween night, and sit before an open fire with your lover. Simultaneously place one nut each at the front of the flames. If the nuts both glow and smolder it means that you are greatly suited to each other, and that harmonious love will endure. However, if either (or worse yet, both) of the nuts burst or crackle excessively it means that there will be excessive quarrels and a lack of sympathy in your relationship.

Happy Halloween!ENJOY

for the blog "terrorist attacks in india"

I know this isnt much but it is what i will do from where i live.

Dear God...
People are living in fear because of terrorists in India...
Innocent people and homelands are being invaded for no reason...
We need more protection and no more terrorists or enemies...
To make this world see a time of peace and destroy all wars...
For eyes to see how precious life is not to blind their eyes with evil...
For the earth to heal from all the bombs..
For us to reach in deeper and not take life for granted..
To guide and direct us in better ways of living..
Please be with the families who have lost their loved ones...
and be with the children who have lost their parents..

Thank You God for hearing this prayer. Amen
we will light a candle tonight and keep the prayer and a candle burning each day for all who are suffering...
and we will keep praying till it ends.
Thank you to whoever else wants to join in.

~~Native American Prayer For People's Paths~~
"For now...
we need time to find our relatives..
for some of them might still survive.
We need time to mourn the loss of so many of our people...
We need time to grieve.
We then need to solidify..
gather our strength...
unify behind our leaders..
take steps to protect our people and our homeland..
and somehow gain protection against the enemy...
For we are all one people now..
people under attack..
And above all..
we need to gather together as one...
and pray for the future of our people....
Because, what about the children?"...

~~~~THE CAB RIDE~~~~ Oct 29, 2008 12:13 pm
490 Views
Twenty years ago, I drove a cab for a living.
When I arrived at 2:30 a.m., the building was dark except for a single light in a ground floor window. Under these circumstances, many drivers would just honk once or twice, wait a minute, then drive away.
But, I had seen too many impoverished people who depended on taxis as their only means of transportation. Unless a situation smelled of danger, I always went to the door. This passenger might be someone who needs my assistance, I reasoned to myself.
So I walked to the door and knocked. "Just a minute", answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor.
After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 80's stood before me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940s movie.
By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets. There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware.
"Would you carry my bag out to the car?" she said. I took the suitcase to the cab, then returned to assist the woman.
She took my arm and we walked slowly toward the curb. She kept thanking me for my kindness.
"It's nothing", I told her. "I just try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother treated". "Oh, you're such a good boy", she said.
When we got in the cab, she gave me an address, then asked, "Could you drive through downtown?" "It's not the shortest way," I answered quickly. "Oh, I don't mind," she said. "I'm in no hurry. I'm on my way to a hospice". I looked in the rearview mirror. Her eyes were glistening.
"I don't have any family left," she continued. "The doctor says I don't have very long."
I quietly reached over and shut off the meter. "What route would you like me to take?" I asked.
For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the building where she had once worked as an elevator operator. We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when they were newlyweds. She had me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl.
Sometimes she'd ask me to slow in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing.
As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, "I'm tired. Let's go now."
We drove in silence to the address she had given me. It was a low building, like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a portico.
Two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up. They were solicitous and intent, watching her every move. They must have been expecting her.
I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door. The woman was already seated in a wheelchair.
"How much do I owe you?" she asked, reaching into her purse.
"Nothing," I said.
"You have to make a living," she answered.
"There are other passengers," I responded.
Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug. She held onto me tightly.
"You gave an old woman a little moment of joy," she said. "Thank you."
I squeezed her hand, then walked into the dim morning light. Behind me, a door shut.
It was the sound of the closing of a life.
I didn't pick up any more passengers that shift. I drove aimlessly, lost in thought. For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk.
What if that woman had gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient to end his shift?
What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven away?
On a quick review, I don't think that I have done anything more important in my life.
We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments. But great moments often catch us unaware-beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.
People may not remember exactly what you did, or what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel.
~~~~COWARD FOR THE COUNTY~~~~ Oct 27, 2008 9:39 am

Everyone considered him...
the coward of the county...
He'd never stood one single time to prove the county wrong....
His mama named him tommy...
the folks just called him yellow...
But something always told me they were reading tommy wrong...
He was only ten years old when his daddy died in prison....
I looked after tommy cause he was my brothers son...
I still recall the final words my brother said to tommy..
Son..
my life is over.. but your's is just begun....

Promise me... son... not to do the things I've done....
Walk away from trouble if you can.....
It wont mean youre weak....
if you turn the other cheek....

I hope you're old enough to understand...
Son..
you don't have to fight to be a man....

There's someone for everyone...
and tommys love was becky...
In her arms he didn't have to prove he was a man...
One day while he was working the gatlin boys came callin....
They took turns at becky....
there was three of them!...

Tommy opened up the door and saw his becky crying....
The torn dress...
the shattered look was more than he could stand...
He reached above the fireplace and took down his daddy's picture..
As his tears fell on his daddys face..
he heard these words again...

Promise me... son.. not to do the things I've done....
Walk away from trouble if you can....
It won't mean youre weak if you turn the other cheek...
I hope youre old enough to understand...
Son...
you dont have to fight to be a man....

The gatlin boys just laughed at him when he walked into the bar room....
One of them got up and met him halfway cross the floor...
When tommy turned around they said...
hey look!...
ol yellows leavin....
But you coulda heard a pin drop when tommy stopped and blocked the door....

Twenty years of crawlin was bottled up inside him....
He wasn't holding nothing back...
he let em have it all....
When tommy left the bar room not a gatlin boy was standing...
He said...
this ones for becky...
as he watched the last one fall....
And I heard him say...

I promised you...
dad..
not to do the things you done....
I walk away from trouble when I can....
Now please dont think Im weak...
I didn't turn the other cheek..
And papa..
I sure hope you understand..
Sometimes you gotta fight when you're a man....

Everyone considered him the coward of the county
