Actually, I am pissed off by the comments of a few folks we have read earlier this day, I quote, "The holocaust did not happen and Hitler was a great leader", and he did our people a great favor in 'taking care of the jews for us', as they are bad luck to my people. (some may wonder why I refer to Hitler as "my cousin", is to remind self, that I am not greater than he, that nobody died and made me God, to sit in judgement that I am good and he is Evil, I reckon to prefer to leave the sitting in judgement of others to God! And yes contrary to a great many beliefs, we are all of us related) ~~ Here are some facts about this Holocaust that did not happen, under the Great Visionary leader Adolph Hitler: ` "Germany's response to its war crimes has been largely lauded by former allies. The government of the Federal Republic of Germany offered official apologies for Germany's role in the holocaust. Additionally, German leaders have continuously expressed repentence, most notably when former chancellor Willy Brandt fell on his knees in front of a Holocaust memorial in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1970. Germany has also paid extensive reperations, including $70 BILLION to the state of Israel. It has given $15 BILLION to Holocaust survivors (all) and will continue to compensate them until 2015. Additionally the German government coordinated an effort an effort with German companies that used slave labor during the war; the companies will pay $1.7 BILLION to victims. Germany also establshed a National Holocaust Memorial Museum in Berlin for looted property. The German education system focuses on teaching about the Third Reich & denounces the crimes commited during WW2. Additionally, German legislation outlaws Nazi works like "Mein Kampf" & makes HOLOCAUST DENIAL a criminal offence. Furthermore, even other symbols of Nazism, like the Swastika & so called "Hitler salute", are illegal in Germany." ` I would say just the fact alone of the German government forking over $85 BILLION fer something that did not happen .......QUITE.......INCREDIBLE!
Heres a break down of this imaginary event in history: ~ Approxamately 17 Million Slavs ( Poles, Russians, Ukranians, Belarusians, serbs, , Italians, Greeks, Chechs, French Belgium, Holland, Swedish,Norwegian and Arab and Albanian muslims), Roma (otherwise called Gypsies), Mentally Ill, Homosexuals, Political Opponents, around 50,000 Germans that just liked....get this.....liked to listen and dance to american swing music......... Around 10.3 million were slavs, just under 5.3 million jews, 258,000 to 400,000 Roma & 220,000 Homosexuals. Every arm of Nazi Germany's bereaucracy was involved in the logistics of the mass murder, turning the country into what one holocaust scholar has called "A Genocidal Nation." ` ~ ~ I believe very strongly that to deny or forget the lessons of history is committing us to perpetual cycles of repetition in the suffering department, Dont you think so???????? Not unlike what is taking place in Africa right now.......... ~ P.S. The picture is of the diary of Tanya Savicheva, a girl of 11, who during the 872 day siege of Leningrad (now St Petersburg)wrote the notes about starvation and deaths of her Grandmother, then Uncle, then Mother, then brother, the last record saying ...."only Tanya is left." She died of progressive dystrophy shortly after the siege. Her diary was shown as evidence at the Neuremburg trials. More than a million civilians died of outright starvation during the siege of leningrad............. We cannot say we wont write anymore about genocide in say Darfur, the Congo or elsewhere, but it will be awhile before we spend this much time on remembering so many experiances in grief.......... and so many opportunities to do good...wasted
